river tables and glass

Designing and building river tables is 1 of my favorite projects. The first step is finding the perfect piece of mesquite or parrot wood. This can take some time as it requires a unique piece and also depends on the size of the table. The wood is then cut and reshaped to allow the opening for the river glass.

A river pattern is created and used to cut the blue or green glass. It requires extreme attention to detail with many fine adjustments to ensure the perfect fit of the glass into the table. The design choices for the base are unlimited, made from wood or metal.
